“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians chapter 15
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
1. Heaven is a free gift from God to those who believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8 KJV
2. Those who choose to believe in Jesus receive the promise of heaven from God who cannot lie.
“And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” 1 John 2:25 KJV
Jesus said: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Jesus said: “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18
“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40
1. It is obvious that God exists, because of the world he made.
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” Romans 1:20 KJV
“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” Psalms 14:1 KJV
2. The bible says that God is holy and our sins have separated us from him.
“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15 KJV
1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
3. But God loved us and suffered on the cross as an atonement for our sins.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 KJV
“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,” Revelation 1:5 KJV
4. Whoever believes that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again on the third day, is reconciled with God.
“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:14 KJV
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” Romans 5:1 KJV
5. But whoever doesn’t believe is calling God a liar, which is what the devil did in the garden of Eden.
“He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.” 1 John 5:10 KJV
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Take some time to genuinely consider these questions. They are not easy, but there is a point at the end I promise.
How many lies have you told in your life?
Have you ever stolen something, even if it is small?
Have you ever used God’s name as a curse word?
If God judged you by the 10 commandments on judgment day, (that was only 3 of them), will you be innocent or guilty?
If you are guilty on judgment day, will you go to heaven or hell?
“Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” Mark 9:48 KJV
Here is the big question:
What did God do for guilty sinners, like you and me, so that we don’t have to go to hell?
Answer: Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again the third day, according to the scriptures.
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Many people know that, but they are not saved from hell because they don’t believe it, so they make out that God is a liar.
The 10 commandments are called the holy law, you and I broke the law, Jesus paid the penalty.
And all we have to do to be saved, according to the bible, is simply believe what Jesus did for us.
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:13 KJV
The bible says that the moment we choose to believe, all our sins are forgiven and we are reconciled with God, and given the free gift of eternal life, not because we are good, but because God is good and rich in mercy to those who turn to him.
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,” Ephesians 1:13 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Jesus said:
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew chapter 11
